Wait a minute? What's this? Kids inspired to go on with their studies & stay in school? Kids with ambitions now? Wow! Who knew?
Even ol' Jim Greer had to recant:
Another parent, Mollie Cushing from Marietta, Georgia claims her own elementary school aged children requested to stay home & she, being the good republican, didn't object. Nice spin! "I don't think there's going to be anything he will touch on that will be important." No Ms Cushing, that speech was not important. It's not important to contemplate the future & it's not important for your kids to take their studies seriously. It's more important to teach them intolerance & that ignorance is bliss.
Well, Mr Christensen & Ms Cushing & other parents who share your distorted views, I have some news for you: Brace yourselves now; the schools where you send your children ARE already teaching them socialist values. It's socialism when teachers have your kids work in teams for various projects, when the kindergarten teacher tells your kids to share the toys & finger paints with other children & of course, team sports.
My advice to you would be to pull your kids out of school entirely because if they go to public school, that's a socialist program or if they go to private school, well they have tax exemptions...government at work here. Start home schooling them & teach them about Sarah Palin's death panels & about historical figures like Joe the Plumber, Michelle Bachman, Glenn Beck & Billy Graham.
It's sad that Right winged American citizens believe in making their kids pay for their misguided hatred of President Obama. When hatred & fear mongering start replacing the 3 'R's, one can see that a society is on the decline.
What's sad is the video or written transcript of Obama's speech to school children on Sept. 8, 2009 will probably end up only in the underground, much like rock 'n' roll records were in the '50s.
Now, I'm going to put my feet up & play the above video backwards to try to find subliminal socialist messages with a nice tall glass of kool-aid. Anyone dare to join me??
