Orly Taitz, Until You show us that Law Degree, SHUT-UP SCHEISTER!!!

Stories like this are what gives me hope some days that the idiocy of the American Right Wing are coming to an end. Hopefully, the Birther movement will finally die the death it deserves.


For those who don't know, Orly Taitz, a California lawyer, Real-estate agent & dentist (hey, one stop shopping!) is touted the Queen of the Birther movement, bringing frivolous law suits into court, challenging, as she likes to call him, Barack "Hussein" Obama's eligibility for the presidency & forging Kenyan Birth certificates along the way. What is surprising is some of these judges were actually allowing these cases onto their dockets. Who knows? Perhaps they were bored & looking for comic relief. She has filed a grand total of 12 million Birther lawsuits. Wow! And she still finds the time to go sell houses & damage people's teeth AND be a regular on you tube & blogging?? 


Well, finally, her 15 minutes of infamy are just about up now as she is quickly losing credibility with all including the media, judges & some of her clients.She's a goin' down!! She is being sued,  some of her now-former clients are coming out saying she either elicited false testimony or filing claims on their behalf without permission, disbarment proceedings against her coming up;  she's been lambasted by Judge Clay Land, a Bush appointed Federal judge from the District of Georgia & by MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan. 


In one of her cases, Pamela Barnett et al v Barack 'Hussein' Obama, Judge Arthur Nakazato in the Federal court in the Central District of California threw out a Kenyan birth certificate on August 1, 2009 because it was improperly filed & in the wrong format. Apparently, this 'birth certificate' proved to be a forgery & was based on an old birth certificate belonging to Australian civil servant, David Jefferey Bomford. Oh, in case anyone ever gets bored silly, here's an activity for you: you can create your own Kenyan birth certificate off this web site.


In spite of all her recent mishaps, she has no plans on giving up this lunacy; in the video from this page, she claims she will have Obama out of office in thirty days. What's more, this shrilly lunatic  fancys herself like Nelson Mandela!! I wonder what Nelson Mandela would have to say about that one?


Her latest outrage was when Judge Clay Land of the Federal Court of the District of Georgia, a Bush appointee, not only dismissed her motion of consideration in the case of  Cpt. Connie Rhodes v MacDonald but threatened sanctions against Taitz if she ever brought another one of those frivolous cases back in his courtroom. Connie Rhodes is an army doctor who was being deployed to Iraq & decided to challenge this thinking President Obama is not the legitimate president of the United States & thus not eligible to be Commander in Chief. Now, instead of quitting while she was behind, she has accused Judge Land of Treason:


"This is so outrageous what this judge did -- it goes in the face of law and order," said Taitz, reached at her office in Mission Viego, CA. "Not every judge is as corrupt as Judge Land. Some judges believe in the Constitution. And some judges believe in the rule of law."


When asked if she would continue with the Connie Rhodes case, she answered: "This is the decision of Connie," she said. "I will be talking to her and making a decision.". Well, Taitz's bubble has just been burst. Not only does Cpt Rhodes no longer wish to continue, she has already left to take her post in Iraq & here's a letter she wrote to Judge Land before leaving, basically asking the judge to withdraw the motion as she did not authorize it & doesn't want to proceed. 


I believe Rhodes was probably an esteemed member of the Birther's movement but her letter to be sincere as most conservatives tend to believe in serving their country & that would certainly take precedence over the Birthers. Besides, if she really didn't want to go to Iraq, I'm sure she would have found craftier ways to avoid duty like defecting to Canada or something along those lines.


Another notable Birther, Larry Sinclair, has also filed an affidavit in a California court claiming she made him lie.


Well, it seems the party may be over for Taitz as now, the California Bar is proceeding to have Orly Taitz disbarred.


It would be about time!! What she & others fail to realize is that President Obama's Birth certificate would have been  heavily scrutinized before even being allowed to even run in the Democratic leadership primaries like any other presidential hopeful; Republican or Democrat due to that strict rule that all U.S. presidents must be born in the U.S.


Funny, I don't remember these clowns disputing John McCain's candidacy since he was born in Panama.

Wrong Formula Montreal! Just Say NO to Formula 1!!

If Michael Moore wanted to do a world version of his upcoming movie, Capitalism, A Love Story, he should focus on Bernie Ecclestone, the Hitler praising, anti-semetic, pro-totalitarian, misogynist who attempted to gouge Montreal one last time to have F1 here. Here's capitalism at it's worst: a billionaire being subsidized in part by taxpayers.


I honestly believed we would be done with Bernie Ecclestone & F1. As far as I was concerned, Abu-Dhabi could have them! More suited to champagne & caviar culture over there than here.


I never understood why Montreal taxpayers should be subsidizing an  event that they, themselves, can't afford attending. It's nothing more than a week-end playground for the rich & famous. A chance where hotels can gouge tourists for triple their going rates & filling restaurants alot of Montrealers don't eat at for the most part. Furthermore Ecclestone just decides to pull out of Montreal in favour of Abu-Dhabi instead & the regular Montreal F1 event ended up in Istanbul.


Later, when Bernie Ecclestone praised Hitler & blamed Jews for the banking crisis, I thought Normand Legault, the local F1 promoter &  the City of Montreal would have breathed a collective sigh of relief: "Phew, aren't we glad we distanced ourselves from this crackpot." It seems I'm about to be proven wrong. Ol' Bernie has come crawling back wanting to bring the F1 back here to our fair city apparently for close to less than 100M than what he insisted upon originally less this time around. My guess is that that the Turkish Grand Prix which was held on the week-end it was usually held in Montreal, didn't yield as much to Bernie's bottom line. It seems that the event in Istabul only attracted an audience of 30 000 spectators whereas our event usual attracts ten times that.




This time, Montreal should just say 'NO'!! No matter how much the F1 boss was willing to slash his price tag.   I mean, hasn't Montreal learned its' lesson? Financial guarantees are in place, however La Presse also reported that assurances were given by Ecclestone that the agreement can be cancelled if the standards of Formula One are not maintained. Translation:  if Ol' Bernie decides he's not getting rich enough here, he will surely pull the race out again with Montreal begging him to keep the race here. 


There is another reason we shouldn't let ol' Bernie &his little auto race come back here: his statements regarding Hitler and  blaming the Jews for the banking crisis: 


Here are just some of his idiotic statements: about Hitler: "he got things done," but "In the end he got lost, so he wasn't a very good dictator."


About blaming the Jews for the World Banking crisis: ‘It’s a pity they didn’t sort the banks out,’ he said. ‘ When asked to elaborate he countered: ‘ They have a lot of influence everywhere.’


He would later give some kind of feeble back handed apology later, adding like all good famous anti-semites caught with their pants down, that some of his best friends are Jewish. However, what's worse is clearly he has no regrets for having made such statements.


There are other things about Ecclestone that would & should make any Canadian want to run this capatalist clown out of town: 


His crazy views on Democracy: "The trouble with politicians and democracy is they all the time have to compromise, they can't do what they want to do because there is somebody in opposition. It certainly takes a lot longer to do something,"


Of course, he also has a VERY high opinion of women: "women should wear white "like all other domestic appliances," a comment he revisited in The Times interview, suggesting that the utterance was a joke, only to follow it up with: "I would love to have a good lady race driver and preferably black and Jewish, too, but they might take maternity leave."


If what the media from England, United States & Canada are saying is true, it seems a deal has been made between Legault, Mayor Tremblay & Raymond Bachand, the Quebec finance minister & according to autoracingdaily.com, with Michael Fortier, the Federal minister of International trade with Ecclestone in theory & about to be signed sometime this Fall. 


Funny, I remembered Tommy Schnurmacher's interview on his radio show Friday, Sept. 11 with Tony Clement, the federal industry minister where he hinted to Tommy that his government would cut funding to  the International Just For Laughs festival & some Heritage Canada projects. But this government doesn't seem to have a problem in helping to fund this event & it's facist-loving boss. It's sadly easy to see why: with Georgie gone & from what I have been reading, it seems Obama would just like him to stay in Ottawa,  it seems ol' Stevie needs a friend to hang with, given ol' Bernie's praises for Totalitarian regimes & his archaic views on women.


If Montreal stupidly accepts having F1 back, I sincerely hope that Jewish organizations & women's organizations & others on both the local & national levels will push for a boycott to this event. 

R.I.P. Norma Rae & The REAL Death Panels

Crystal Lee Sutton, A.K.A. 'Norma Rae passed away last Friday of not only of Meniginoma, a usually slow growing brain cancer but she was also killed by....the REAL 'death panels' known as the American Health Insurance industry; NOT the one invented in the imagination of Sarah Palin.


Crystal Lee Sutton, a working-class mother of the three struggled to keep her family afloat with only 2.65$ an hour folding towels at a textile mill in her home town of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.  fought in 1973 to organize a union & was fired for it. She didn't leave without one final moment of defiance:


"I got a piece of cardboard that we used to put in our towel gift sets," she said. "I just grabbed (a magic marker), and I just wrote the word 'union' on that piece of cardboard and climbed on the table. I don't even know how I got up there. And I held that word 'union' up — that cardboard — and turned it around. And people — they finally all shut their machines down."


 The story of her fight was portrayed by in the Oscar winning film,  Norma Rae in 1979 starring Sally Field. 


Later, Crystal Lee Sutton would have two  fights of a different kind; brain cancer & her insurance company that didn't want to pay for her treatment, which in her view was another abuse to the working poor. After two months of fighting with them, she finally started receiving treatment which would prove to be too late.  Her husband had to work two jobs & the AFL-CIO took a collection on her behalf to help pay for her treatments. 


"How in the world can it take so long to find out (whether they would cover the medicine or not) when it could be a matter of life or death," she said. "It is almost like, in a way, committing murder."


Well, it IS essentially, committing murder of the legal kind just like what  Dr Linda Peeno confessed to before Congress.

The irony of Crystal Lee Sutton's story is she represents the American working class in her fight for unions & later, the health insurance industry. She is someone who is much like those marching on the tea-bagger hit parades. Health care reform would serve to help that comical group the most.

When asked how she would like to be remembered, here's what Crystal Lee Sutton had to say about this: 

"It is not necessary I be remembered as anything, but I would like to be remembered as a woman who deeply cared for the working poor and the poor people of the U.S. and the world," she said. "That my family and children and children like mine will have a fair share and equality."


That means even largely in part, the Tea-baggers from the hit parade. Instead of parading around with their mis-spelled signs & toting their guns, they should be stopping to think why President Obama is fighting so hard for health care reform. But, that would require a brain capable of logical thinking.

Damned if they Do; Damned If they Don't--Starring Socialists, Separatists & Rest of the Cast

Who said Canadian politics was boring? It can be very entertaining when Iggy & Stevie are playing a game of 'Who blinks first'. A cartoon posted on Montreal Simon's blog illustrates exactly what the current situation is.


It seems all the parties  & those whiny Canadians who seem to be afraid of polling stations may have gotten a reprieve after all. Both will be signing the Harpercons' Ways & Means bill; the Bloc will sign because of the popular home renovation tax credit & NDP because of the EI plan.


After reading the various comments to articles written on the story, I was not surprised but was disappointed to see the readers still bitching. I swear, I don't envy any of these politicians & their parties. They can never win. Damned if they do; Damned if they don't. What amazes me about average Canadians who comment on these sites is their lack of knowledge of how Canadian Politics really works. I would expect this more from the American Tea-baggers, Birthers & other neo-cons who can't even spell the slogans on their protest signs correctly, but from Canadians?? Aren't we supposed to be more knowledgeable & logical??


One aspect of Canadian politics alot of Canadians just don't get: Sorry, folks, Iggy did not & is NOT calling an election: only the Prime-minister can do that. He simply put the PM on notice is all. While he picked a rather aggressive way of doing it, I not only understand why he did it, I applaud it. It was about time.


I never believed Iggy was suitable to run the Liberal Party or any other Canadian party for that matter due to his long time absence outside of Canada, limited political experience & lack of charisma. I still don't. More & more I see he is the wrong person to lead Canada or any political party for that matter, mainly because of his "Think big & global" ads, proving he is out of touch with average Canadian working folks & we still don't know much about him. Although, I did catch a recent ad of his in the Toronto Star actually addressing the Canadian jobless rate & proposing job creation & training, so maybe there's hope that he will catch on to what is actually important to Canadians these days.


For better or worse, he is the leader of the Liberals & for the time being he's basically all we got to oppose Harpercons & after 79 times, it was time he made some kind of move; ready or not. Like Stephane Dion before him, he becomes the wishy - washy laughing stock of his own party & of Canada if doesn't throw down the gauntlet at some point. Nevertheless, he is still villified for such a move.


Well, what would have happened if Iggy hadn't have thrown the gauntlet when he did? My guess is that Harpercons wouldn't have put out that EI plan  (not a great one as most would still not qualify for the extra help), when they did. Still, considering ol' Stevie thinks of EI, this is already a stretch:
"In terms of the unemployed, of which we have over a million-and-a-half, don't feel particularly bad for many of these people. They don't feel bad about it themselves, as long as they're receiving generous social assistance and unemployment insurance."
- Stephen Harper, then vice-president of the National Citizens Coalition, in a June 1997 Montreal meeting of the Council for National Policy, a right-wing American think-tank. 

Evidence that he would not have introduced an EI change of any kind had he a majority government or if Iggy hadn't have served notice.

We may be in economic recovery, but unemployment is still very high, these jobs won't come back & Canadians are still losing or at risk of losing the jobs they have. Yet, Canadians still think it's more important to not go to the polls & blame others rather than fight to have EI reform.  Why shouldn't we fight for EI reform? Canadians would do well to take a look at their pay stubs & realize that they pay into the EI fund with every pay checque so shouldn't it be easier to access when we need it? That proposal of the Harpercons is the best they're going to offer & Layton knows it. That's why he's voting with it. That & it would help those in the failing car industry & manufacturing sectors in NDP territory. We will have to count on another Government to implement a better EI plan.



When Iggy starts actually opposing the Harpercons, he is villified for 'calling' or the better choice of words here, provoking a Fall election. Funny when Harper called an election around this time last year after seeing his numbers touting him in majority government territory, no one blamed him nearly as much, at least not for that anyway. Announcing plans to cut funding to arts & culture was his downfall & cost him dearly; particulary in Quebec where arts & culture is a mainstay. I don't know who his advisors are, but he must either have advisors that should be fired or he just wasn't listening to them. Anyone could see he was in trouble in Quebec when the Federalist premier & a former Tory under Brian Mulroney campaigns for the Bloc. Be that as it may; he still got a stronger minority & still people in general weren't as hostile toward him as they are with Iggy today.


I would guess that no one is happier anymore than Iggy, himself. Furthermore, I wouldn't have put it passed Iggy if he made some kind of deal with Layton to vote along with this proposed EI reform. Harper only needs one party to keep him afloat. It turns out he will get the double gift of both the 'Socialists' & the 'Separatists' saving his government & ol' Stevie would be a fool to refuse...Not that he will thank them, of course, nor will the whiny Canadian population for that matter.


Speaking of 'Socialists' & 'Separatists' they're taking a beating in the comments of the news media sites:  Everything from calling  them hypocrites for signing on this Friday to simply making fun of them. Not that they care: Layton may well be on his way out the door as it is & the Home reno tax credit is something Duceppe knows Quebecers will like.


There is still hatred toward that  coalition government that almost happened last year under Dion & Layton. Let's remember that this coalition was assembled because Stevie bit off more than he can chew when he announced there would be no economic stimulus offered while the other G20 countries were offering stimulus packages. Given that Dion had just lost the last election what choice did he have? Had he voted along with this, this would surely have hammered the last nail on the coffin of the Liberal party. I am certain there would have been as much hatred & vitriol from Canadians if Dion had chosen to vote along with that statement.


Yes, we are in an albeit slow economic recovery but let's remember that it wasn't Harpercons who saved the day; it was that threat of a coalition with the Liberals, the 'separatists' & the 'socialists'. Had there been no stimulus as Stevie wanted in the first place, we would sure not be able to brag about coming out of the recession today.


Ironically, the most stable & consistant federal political party of today with a leader who seems to show the most integrity happens to be the 'Separatist' Big Bad Bloc Quebecois & Gilles Duceppe. Now can we understand why even the non-sovereignists of Quebec will continue to vote for them? Also, as he has pointed out, he is not for sale & he will go motion by motion & his reasoning for voting with the Harpercons or not will depend on how well a particular piece of legislation will serve or will not serve Quebec's interests. Duceppe & the Bloc also have nothing to lose or gain at this point.


No one wants to be rid of ol' Stevie more than I do, but as a realist, I'm relieved an election isn't being held today given the recent polls  suggesting a growing lead for the Harpercons, in spite of that closed door video. It seems most would argue (logical reasoning in most cases; except this one) that we should vote in the devil we do know as opposed to the one we don't know. Only few of us think of voting with the reverse reasoning; we don't like the devil we know & don't believe the one we don't know could be any worse.  If the Liberals & the others continue to keep ol' Stevie on his toes whenever he hints at reverting to his old ways, this is the best it's going to be until the next election further down the road.


Who knows what can happen in a few months? Perhaps the Liberals can get lucky & Iggy decides to resign & they get a new leader. With the exception of the Bloc, all the parties could stand to have new leaders. For those who keep blaming the Bloc for successive minority governments, the only way for either the Liberals or the Conservatives to be able to take away at least some of the raison d'etre of the Bloc is have a French speaking leader from Quebec like Pierre Trudeau, Brian Mulroney & Jean Chretien; the latter achieving successive majority governments inspite of the Bloc as in recent years, those parties tend to be the most successful.


The parties may be in messy situations right now, but Canadian voters aren't much better. The only thing they are sure of is they want a majority government even if it is the Harpercons with their U.S. Republican style of governing & that they have what I like to now call pollingstationphobia. If there is an election further down the road in 2010, I'm sure they're going to be whining about it again whether it's the Liberals who provoke one or if ol' Stevie himself calls it.


Let's also remember that while the 'Socialists' & the 'Separatists' will never form an official federal government, they will be the stars in the events to come. 




I have a question for Canadians pollingstationphobia: Perhaps it would be best we never have elections? That the Government is appointed by some faction? Would they perhaps like to take a page from the Bernie Ecclestone book of political ideologies  "The trouble with politicians and democracy is they all the time have to compromise, they can't do what they want to do because there is somebody in opposition. It certainly takes a lot longer to do something." Of course not, so anytime there may be an election, they would be best to take the few hours off work offered by employers on election day & stop by polling station to put that check mark next to the name they support & be on their way. See, nothing to it!

Harper: Time to 'Fess up! Let's Talk Health Care!

Ol' Stevie is off to Washington to meet with President Obama tomorrow & Liberals are asking him to defend our health care system state-side. Something Harper was able to avoid, even when in an interview with ABC news correspondant, Jake Tapper. To summarize Harper's answers to Tapper's health care questions, he basically said he left that entirely to the provinces & basically pulling the old Sergent Schultz routine (I know nut-ting! I know nut-ting!).  To be fair, I can forgive Harper not jumping into the health care debate in the U.S for one reason: Obama's health care reform plan doesn't call for a single-payer health care system like in Canada; it doesn't resemble Canada's model at all. Shona Holmes' ad & other ads like her's are nothing more than a red herring. 


However, as our prime minister, why doesn't he defend our health care system here, in Canada to the likes of the Canadian Constitution Foundation & the last three presidents (present one included) of the Canadian Medical association & other interest groups who are doggedly trying to dismantle the Canada Health Act & our single payer system??


When the Liberals ask Harper to defend our health care system, they asked the wrong question; my question to that is are they asking Harper the wrong question intentionally in order to box him into a corner? If this is the case, the Liberals should continue running with this. It's a  great strategy for the Liberals  to slam Harper with  his views on  health care. I do mean his REAL views. Not the 2005 campaign where he promises to maintain our single-payer system & even try to improve on it. "There will be no private, parallel system," Harper told a campaign rally in Winnipeg. & that would respect the Canada Health Act & reduce waiting times. 


The video of Harper speaking to fellow Conservatives in Sault Ste Marie behind closed doors released September 9  revealed the REAL Harper; the Stevie of Reform, the NCC & the Canadian Alliance Party.The video is posted on Dr. Jeckyll & Mr. Harper. In the video, it is quite obvious that someone edited out alot of footage; undoubtedly more damning stuff. I would even venture to say he expressed his old & true views of our health care system & in which direction it should go.  


Here are various quotes from Stephen Harper in days' past regarding Health Care in Canada to refresh our memories: 


"It's past time the feds scrapped the Canada Health Act."
- Stephen Harper, then Vice-President of the National Citizens Coalition, 1997.


"What we clearly need is experimentation with market reforms and private delivery options [in health care]."
- Stephen Harper, then President of the NCC, 2001.




In his 2002 Throne Speech Reply, Stephen Harper said: "A government monopoly is not the only way to deliver health care to Canadians. ... It (the federal government) must remove any barriers, any chill to increase private capital investment plans that the provinces have for our health-care system."

"I know this is a dangerous subject. My advisors say don't talk about it, but the fact is sometimes provinces have allowed in the past few years, they've brought in private services covered by public health insurance... Why do I care and why do we care as a federal government how they're managed? What we care about is whether people can access them. This is just an ideological agenda."
- Conservative leader Stephen Harper at the leadership debate, June 15th 2004, conceding that he shouldn't talk about his positive view of privatization of health care.

Notice the paralell between this last quote & what he tells Jake Tapper his view about Canada's health care system: 

"Yes, but the responsibility for the health care waits, in our country, are the responsibilities of provincial governments. 

I have taken the view, as the federal prime minister very different than some of my predecessors as I don’t lecture the provinces publically on how they should be running their health care systems. 

What we try to do is work with them in a cooperative manner so we can be helpful in addressing the challenges.  

All around the world, what we are seeing all around the world is important to understand is that there have been tremendous breakthroughs in medicine.  We can treat more things, more ways through new technology, drugs than ever before.

At the same time, all of this costs money.  If you are prepared to spend an unlimited amount of money, you can do an almost unlimited number of things in people’s health care.  But you don’t have an unlimited amount of money no matter what your system is.  And these are challenges that every system has to address.

But I’m not – I’m not going, quite frankly, criticize how our provinces are running their health care systems because I know the challenges that face them are very big."

In both those statements he hints at not only leaving the provinces to decide how to handle their health care systems & basically keep the federal government out of it, but also supports private health care. 


Right now he is skirting the issue of one of the most important social programs to most Canadians. Even Eric Mang of the harperindex.ca admits that "....it may not have been politically prudent for Mr. Harper to allow himself to be dragged into the Shona Holmes debacle" given that her ad in the U.S. has been proven to be an outright lie.


However, indirectly, he is, in my opinion. 


The Canadian Constitution Foundation a Conservative public interest group funded by donations & our tax dollars which backs right-winged legal cases; cases which support everything Harper has said in his days with the Reform, NCC & Canadian Alliance Party,   is backing Shona Holmes law suit against OHIP & the Ontario Government.  This is why the Shona Holmes case is so frightening. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you will, but if one stopped & think about this; given Harper's real views of private for profit health care; it's not that crazy. Awhile back, I don't think anyone believed Harper would ever get a majority government, thus, would never be able to implement privatized health care. As such, I believed that if Shona Holmes' suit is successful, this would be a way for Harper to push privatized health care through the back door of parliament without losing any of his constituents. 


So, why did Harper change his tune about health care in his 2005 campaign?  If there is one thing most Canadians; right, centre & left agree on is our universal health care program. Some may whine & complain, but they would never give it up in favour of the U.S. health care system. Yes, most Canadians do agree our system needs some improvements, but they agree that we should improve our single-payer system & clearly DON'T want a paralell health care system such as the one the U.S. 

Bottom line, if Harper revealed his true views of our health care system even inadvertantly; it would indeed be a deal breaker. Even most of those who voted for Harper consistantly support our health care system & thus wouldn't vote for him.

The Liberals would be best to lay off those 'think big & global' & 'talking to India & China'---average Canadians wouldn't relate to them, particularly those who lost their jobs due to sub-contracting their jobs out to India & China. They should, instead, take Jack Layton's cue from last year & make it about the kitchen table; something I think the Liberals can actually sell even better than Layton could. One of the reasons why I believe the Liberals & NDP should merge as I mentioned in another previous posting: ...And Let the Insanity Begin! but I digress. 


One of the biggest issues important to average Canadians, no matter if they're right winged, Centrist or Left-winged, would be health care & they would do well to continuously hammer ol' Stevie over the head with it...give him the rope to hang himself with. I strongly believe that sooner or later, he will hang himself with  his disdain for our health care system & promote private health care. I sincerely hope that the Liberals (& the other political parties) will take this on, not for their sake, but for the sake of our health care system.

The Neo-Con Mantra and New Anthem!

Now for some late Saturday night brain-drain fun!!

I wonder if after some of these Neo-Cons listen to themselves & look at themselves in the mirror, photos & videos, do they even realize why they're the butt of sooooo many jokes??


First, from MSNBC: I got a chuckle from this commentator who goes by Ron Indiana.

The Conservative Rulebook—9 Simple Rules:

1. Any new idea, thought, or program:  Just say “No”.  If voting, just vote “No”.

2. If something is broken, like the banking system, the housing market, the auto industry, healthcare:  Just ignore it.  Laissez-faire. Maybe the problem will go away.  If it gets worse, blame it on Carter or Clinton.

3. If asked a question on taxes: Always say “lower taxes”.  Guaranteed to get you votes!

4. If asked a question and you don’t know the conservative answer:  Just make up something—the Palin ploy.

5. If it involves government spending:  Shout three times, “Socialism, Socialism, Socialism”.

6. If it involves going to war, torture, or violating the Constitution:  Vote “Yes” and say “I agree with Cheney and Limbaugh.”

7. If it involves debating with an opponent:  Smear and lie.  Even though untrue, you have left a dirty mark.  If the media challenges you:  Shout  twice “Liberal Media” .

8. If you get to sit in the presence of the POTUS:  Shout “You lie!!” and then do a mea culpa.

9. If you stress “family values” in public:  Go have an affair.
a) Two points for a gay relationship. (Craig option)
b) One point for a prostitute. (Vitter option)
c) One point for a lobbyist. (Sanford option)
d) Five points for someone on your own staff. (Ensign option)

It’s not hard and it doesn’t take much practice.  So grab your gun and go forth and lie.

The Neo-Con Anthem


Now, I saved the worst for, well, next to last.  After reading this morning's Unrepentant Old Hippie's posting this morning, I stumbled onto this video. Call it the new neo-con anthem. Even the melody is cheesy. The blogger did warn readers to just read the lyrics & keep the sound off. However, being morbidly curious, much like those who stare at train wrecks & chase fire engines all over town, I watched it with the sound on! YECH!



I am still wondering if this a joke song??  Come to think of it, why are some  like-minded bloggers posting this to their pages??

Remembering 9/11 with Health Care Reform

I know, I'm a day late. I didn't forget 9/11. I read about the happenings all over the U.S. & the world for that matter to commemorate that horrific day & as well it should be, but what about honoring the surviving rescue workers & volunteers who did survive 9/11? The only one who honored them was "America's most feared film maker", Michael Moore with the help of three of those uncovered rescue workers: Reggie Cervantes, William Maher & John Graham in the movie Sicko. 


Many of them chronically ill with lung damage & other conditions related to being exposed to the toxicity of the smoke & debris at Ground Zero. They seem to be the forgotten ones. Most can't work anymore due to their mental & physical problems. What did the Bush administration do to 'honor' them?? "...cutting health care funding for Sept. 11 first responders by 77 percent and in December when he canceled a health monitoring and treatment program for Ground Zero workers."  Georgie & his administration seemed to have no problem spending trillions on both wars in Afghanistan & Iraq, but decided to cut the budget to care for these workers here at home? How obscene is that?


About 90% of Ground Zero rescue workers don't have access &/or health care coverage according to Healthcare-now.org. Talk about hypocrisy: the tea-baggers, Birthers & other neo-cons including that bungling red neck, Joe Wilson from Sath-Carolanee whining about coverage for illegal aliens, they have forgotten about these heroes who can no longer work due to their health issues & thus have no health coverage.


Obama made a great point when he said the best way to remember 9/11 is through volunteerism & Cervantes, Maher & Graham are doing just that by "fighting for social justice and access to humane medical treatment for all Americans."


Let 9/11 be a reminder as to why health care reform in the United States is so necessary.  
ALL Americans (as well as all humanity deserve to be covered). Anything less than that would be just :
